Rakesh Sarma, a Shillong boy, received a gold medal from the Tezpur University for securing First Position in Bio Technology (Computer Science & Engineering) from President Pranab Mukherjee during the Convocation programme on November 20. Rakesh was earlier a State topper in HSSLC (Science) in 2010 from Laban Bengalee Boy’s Higher Secondary School. Son of Nripendra Nath Sarma & Pranati Sarma of Bishnupur, Shillong, Rakesh had his early schooling in Tendercare Nursery School.
