EJH beat EKH; qualify for semis finals

SHILLONG: In the Inter District U-19 category Cricket Tournament organized by Meghalaya Cricket Association, debutant East Jaintia continued their winning spree to enter the semi final stage on better run rate. Put into bat by EKH after winning the toss, EJH scored a challenging 148 runs all out in 30.3 overs; with Gagansha Tripura contributing 33 runs(55 balls) & Glorybon Nongtdu 30 runs(55 balls). Donald Nongseh claimed 4 wickets conceding 39 runs & Garykupar Kynta scalped 3 wickets giving 31 runs. EKH stared their innings steadily in reply and came within striking distance of snatching a victory, before losing all their wickets at 132 runs in 32.4 overs. Garykupar in an all round display also batted with confidence scoring 38 runs(55 balls) and Ibitlang Thabah a patient knock of 30 runs(52 balls). Wallambha Rymbai & Arki Pajoh accounted for 3 and 2 wickets respectively for EJH. EJH won by 16 runs.

In the first semi final on Friday East Jaintia will clash with Ri-Bhoi while SCA shall taken on West Garo in the second semi final.
