HPSO resents Forest dept’s silence on RTI application

NONGSTOIN: The Hynniewtrep People Social Organization (HPSO), West Khasi Hills filed a complaint against the Forest Department, Nongstoin, on December 1 for failing to respond to their RTI application filed on October 22, 2014 with regards to the functioning of Veneer Mills and Plywood Mills located in the Nongstoin Industrial Area at Mawiawban village.

The HPSO urged the Chief Information Commissioner, Meghalaya, to take initiative on the matter as early as possible, so that the organization would be able to get the necessary information under the RTI Act.
