SHILLONG: On the occasion of Armed Forces Flag Day, Director of Sainik Welfare Meghalaya, Brig (Retd.), W.J.B. Sturgeon, pinned the Armed Forces Flag on Chief Minister Mukul Sangma on Thursday at his Chamber.
The Armed Forces Flag Day is observed every year to honour martyrs and to salute the veterans, by soliciting donations to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund and displaying the Armed Forces Flags, as a mark of solidarity with the men in uniform.
