ULFA-GNLA militants nabbed

TURA: North Garo Hills police intercepted three militants belonging to the ULFA and GNLA outfit who were travelling towards Assam in a commercial vehicle at Bajengdoba region on Friday morning.

The two ULFA and lone GNLA militant were heading towards Assam in a winger vehicle from Tura when they were reportedly spotted by surrendered militants who tipped off police about their movement.

A road checking party of the police at Rari village caught up with the three militants who were travelling unarmed.

They trio had come from a GNLA camp in Chokpot region and boarded the passenger vehicle at Tura en route to Goalpara district.

The arrested militants have been identified as Pranjal Rabha alias Ringdim (22) hailing from Rongsai village near Soalmari under Agia police station in Goalpara, Himu Rabha alias Rangsang (19) of Phokdavalley village under Krishnai police station in Goalpara (both ULFA) and Brillion N Sangma alias Sokjol (20) of the GNLA who hails from Era Aning village in Nangalbibra, South Garo Hills district.
