PDS Helpline
Directorate of Food Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs, Shillong, has informed that to redress the grievances of consumers and to make the Public Distribution System inclusive to all beneficiaries in the State, a toll-free helpline has been installed which is available on all working days from 10am to 5pm at the designated number 1967.
Horticulture fest
The District Horticulture Officer, East Khasi Hills, will organise a Horticulture Festival on December 16 at Pynursla Parking Lot from 10.30 am.
Seminar
Lady Keane College, Shillong, will organise a one-day seminar on the topic ‘Towards Empowering Women in Technology’ on December 10 at 9.30 am in the College seminar hall. The College will also celebrate International Human Rights Day on December 10 at 2 pm on the College premises.
Cleaning drives
Dorbar Shnong Demthring will organize a cleaning drive on December 12 from 8 am. Movement of vehicles in the locality will be restricted during the drive.
Dorbar Shnong Nongkhyriem will organise a cleaning drive on December 12. A cultural programme and a variety show will also be organised in the evening.
