SHILLONG: The Shillong Bar Association concluded its celebration of the Centenary Year by organising functions on the premises of the Association and also at the U Soso Tham Auditorium on Wednesday.
The Bar Association has, over the years, produced a number of eminent persons like former President of India, (L) Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed, former Chief Minister of Meghalaya (L) B.B. Lyngdoh, Judge of the High Court, B. Lamare, among others.
The programme started with the hoisting of the National Flag at the office of the Association. Besides lawyers, others who attended the programme included Deputy Speaker of Meghalaya Legislative Assembly, Sanbor Shullai, as the chief guest and Shillong West legislator, Paul Lyngdoh, as the guest of honour.
