Assault
On December 9 at around 5 am, unidentified occupants of truck (AS-01-CC-3494) assaulted three toll gate employees Debashish Basu, Abhijeet Das and Kitbor S Syiemiong at Mawkhanu Toll Gate, Shillong Bypass East Khasi Hills. Victims sustained injuries and were shifted to Nazareth Hospital, Shillong.
One Mukul Dutta lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on December 7 at about 12.30 pm, one Indrajit Sinha assaulted him, his pregnant wife Rakhi Dutta and his brother-in-law Raju Das at Plot No. 67, RR Colony, Rynjah, Shillong. As a result, his wife suffered a miscarriage and was admitted at Ganesh Das Hospital, Shillong, while the complainant and his brother-in-law sustained injuries and were shifted to CH Shillong. Police has arrested the accused.
One Indrajit Sinha lodged a complaint on December 7 at Rynjah PS that one Rakhi Dutta w/o Mukul Dutta and one Raju Das assaulted him while fetching water at Plot No. 67, RR Colony, Rynjah, Shillong, causing injuries to him. The FIR has been forwarded to Court for taking cognizance.
Attempted rape
On December 8 around 4 pm, one Mukesh Shah (18) attempted to rape one fourteen-year-old girl in her house at 4th Furlong, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.
Accident
On December 10 at about 12.30 am, one timber laden Mahindra pick-up (ML-09A-1782) driven by Idris Mondal, capsized at Betasing (SWGH). As a result, one occupant Zakir Mondal (19) died on the spot.
Bangladeshi nabbed
On December 9 around 11.45 pm, BSF patrolling party apprehended one Bangladesh national Waljan R Marak from Simsang River at Baghmara (SGH) and handed over to Police at Baghmara PS.
Molestation
A woman lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah PS that on December 9 around 2.30 pm, one Mithilesh Ray molested a ten-year-old girl at New Colony, Shillong. Police arrested the accused.
