Chat show queen Oprah Winfrey says people should not jump to conclusions regarding the content of the leaked emails of Sony Entertainment bosses.

Winfrey, 60, while attending the premiere of her latest production ‘Selma’, said that everyone has sensitive content in their emails that they would not want to go public.

Sony’s co-chairperson Amy Pascal and producer Scott Rudin faced embarrassement when their email discussing President Barack Obama’s possible interest in black-themed movies were leaked online by the hackers. “I would hope that we would not stand in such harsh judgment of a moment in time where someone was hacked and their private conversations were put before the world,” Winfrey told CNN.

Sony has been a subject of international headlines following the massive hack attack on its computer that has seen a massive leak of sensitive data.

Contrary to Winfrey’s comments, ‘Selma’ director Ava DuVernay had slammed the emails, calling them “sickening and sad.” (PTI)
