Theft

Prem Kumari Ghale lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that during her absence since November 2014 unknown miscreants broke into her residence at Langkyrding, Nongmynsong, Shillong and stole one cellphone, cash Rs.600 and household items.

On December 17 afternoon, unknown miscreants broke into the house of Saugata Gupta at Jail Road, Shillong and stole cash Rs.70,000.

Accident

On December 17 around 11.45pm, an accident took place between one Maruti Swift (ML-11-0886) driven by Hardey Bareh (19) and a Maruti Alto (ML-05H-8487) driven by Jimmy Phanbuh (28) at Laitumkhrah, Shillong. As a result both the drivers sustained injuries and were removed to Civil Hospital, Shillong.

Highway robbery

On December 17 around 3 pm, unidentified miscreants committed highway robbery on a truck (AS-01AC-8771) driven by Teju Chettri at Jowai (WJH) and took away three mobile phones, cash Rs.4000 and one bag of rice flakes.

Missing girl traced

One minor girl Youdalin Syiemlieh (10) was reported missing from Nongstoin (WKH) since December 15, 2014. On December 16 around 3 pm, the missing girl was recovered at Rambrai village (WKH) and handed over to the relatives.

Fake currency

Praveen Kumar Brahma, Assistant General Manager, SBI, Laitumkhrah Branch, Shillong, lodged a complaint at Laitumkhrah Police Station that on December 11 one Medalang Nongrum attempted to deposit fifteen counterfeit Indian currency notes amounting to Rs.7,500 at the branch.

Money withdrawn

Batkynti Lyngdoh Nonglait lodged a complaint at Rynjah PS that on December 8 she detected that unidentified persons had fraudulently withdrawn Rs.4,357 from her Bank of Baroda account.
