Shillong SBI official to compete in Bengaluru midnight marathon
SHILLONG: Nixon Joseph, Assistant General Manager, State Bank of India, Shillong Region will be participating at the SBI Bengaluru midnight marathon to complete his 15th full marathon (42.195km). The Bengaluru midnight marathon is organised by Rotary Club and sponsored by SBI and will start from 12 AM to 6 AM. Joseph is the only SBI official with the record of completing 14 full marathon.

SHILLONG: Jhalupara Youth Association (JYA) defeated Moonlight by 56 runs in the first match of the day in the 3rd Ardhendu Chaudhuri Memorial Invitation tennis ball Cricket Tournament in Rilbong on Friday. Batting first, JYA put up s competitive total of 86 runs in the stipulated 12 overs. In reply, Moonlight were bundled out for just 30 runs. The second match of the day between Aurobindo and Sales XI, meanwhile, was a low scoring affair. Batting first Aurobindo scored a modest 49 and defended it successfully as their opponents were restricted to the score of 44. Aurobindo edged past Sales by just five runs to emerge winners.
Clarification
Shillong Sports has clarified that in the Men’s Basketball report dated December 19, it was Mawlai Basketball Team and not Malki which won the competion.
