Damiki Laloo of Lumkyrwiang, Jowai has been awarded the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi for his thesis on “Pharmacognostical and Pharmacological Evaluation of some India Medicinal Plants for Gastroprotective activity.” He completed his degree under the supervision of Dr. (Mrs) S. Hemalatha. He is the son of G.M. Lamar and Dawanshida Laloo.
