Drug paddler apprehended

SHILLONG: BSF troops deployed at South West Garo Hills on Friday apprehended an Indian drug paddler, Nazimuddin (44) and seized nine kgs of ganja from his possession. The ganja was meant to be smuggled to Bangaladesh.

Meanwhile, in the last three weeks, BSF troops also seized seven coal laden trucks, 259 Cubic feet of logs, liquor and other contraband items, worth over Rs 69 lakh while they were being smuggled to Bangladesh.

The seized items were handed over to concerned departments for further action.
