Imphal :Four persons were injured when a hand grenade blasted here this evening at Uripok.All the injured were rushed to Regional Institute of Medical Science (RIMS). Out of four, one of them was in a critical condition at RIMS.
Police said a hand grenade was thrown by unknown miscreants at Angel Digital Media shop resulting in the blast.The four injured persons were identified as Pongsangbam Gunildra, Yambem Subash, Meikam Bikash and Takhellamba Ibomcha. They were inside the studio when the blast occurred.
The area was cordoned off and there was confusion as there was no electricity in the area.Police rushed in and conducted search in the area. It was not known who were responsible in the blast.The motive behind the attack was not known but monetary demand from the shop owners apparently led to the incident. (UNI)
