Human remains found in GH

Tura: A highly decomposed body part identified as that of a human leg has been retrieved by police teams during a search for an abducted victim in Garobadha area of West Garo Hills district.

The remains were discovered during a search by police teams for a 22 year old youth kidnapped at gunpoint a little over a week ago.

“A 22-year-old man from Hallidayganj identified as Shaminul Islam was kidnapped by armed dacoits last week. We believe the remains to be of him,” a police official from Tura said.

It is strongly suspected that the criminals murdered their victim after receiving the ransom money.
