City-based coaches complete AFC goalkeeping course

SHILLONG: Shillong Lajong FC Youth Development Cell coach Bobby L. Nongbet and Langsning FC goalkeeping coach Matheus Khyriem (Bunia) completed the AFC Goalkeeping Coach Level Course-1. Both Nongbet and Khyriem completed the course after appearing the examination conducted by the All India Football Federation at Barasat Stadium in West Bengal recently. The examination was conducted by AFC GK Instructor Yong Wai Hwong from Malaysia. Nongbet had earlier completed his diploma in coaching from National Institute of Sports. He also has the AFC–C & B Coaching License. He also completed FIFA Youth Development Coaching and FIFA Grass root Coaching. Besides Nongbet and Khyriem, 12 goalkeepers from various parts of India including former Lajong goalkeeper Gumpe Rime also completed the AFC Goalkeeping Coach Level Course-1.

SHILLONG: The Nongkseh Sports Social & Cultural Club is organising an Open to All 9-A-Side Knockout Tennis Ball Cricket Tournament 2015 to be held at the Nongkseh Football Ground from January 18.
