SHILLONG: Chief Minister Mukul Sangma has taken exception to the controversial “ghar wapsi” programme of the RSS.
“The country is glued despite diversity. The moment there is feeling of mistrust, it will have a negative impact on unity and harmony,” Sangma told newsmen here on Tuesday.
When asked about the proposed anti-conversion bill of the BJP-led NDA Government at the Centre, he said that the objective and intention of any proposed legislation should be known.
According to the Chief Minister any issue that creates conflict will be a fertile ground for chaos and public disorder.
“The people who love and care this country will desist from anything which will disturb peace and harmony,” the Chief Minister added.
Chief Minister said that the country is “glued” despite diversity and the nation was able to stay bonded because of trust.
