A 12-tyre truck (ASO1DC – 1759) coming from Silchar, drove off to the side of the road after it collided with another truck coming from the opposite direction. The accident happened at Kongong under Khliehrait Block, East Jaintia Hills District on at 4.54 AM on January 13. The drivers of both the trucks and a helper sustained injuries due to the collision. The 108 Emergency Service Ambulance based in Khliehrait helped in shifting Apside Ryngkhlem (36/male), Gimiris Ryngkhlem (17/male) and Parmot Giri (38/male) to Jowai Civil Hospital.
