Three killed, nine injured in road accident

Aizawl: Three persons were killed and nine others injured when a maxicab rolled into a steep gorge near Sialsuk village, about 70 kilometres south of Aizawl, police on Tuesday said.
Aizawl district superintendent of police C Laldina told PTI that the maxicab, which was on way from Saiha in south Mizoram to Karimganj in Assam rolled into the 600 m gorge late Monday night killing the three, including its driver, on the spot.
All the passengers hailed from Karimganj district, Laldina said adding of the nine injured the condition of three was serious and they were being treated at Sialsuk primary health centre.
The cause of the mishap was being investigated, he added. (PTI)
