Zoramthanga leaves to broker peace in Myanmar

Aizawl: Mizo National Front president Zoramthanga on Monday left Kolkata for Yangon to broker peace deal between the government of Myanmar and various ethnic groups in that country.
MNF General Secretary Zobiakvela said the former Mizoram`chief minister would be holding talks with Myanmarese ministers involved in the peace process between January 13 and 17.
The 17 Myanmarese underground groups, which would be involved in the peace dialogue include Karens, Kachins, Was, Chins, Arakanese and different ethnic groups inside Shan state, Zobiakvela said. (PTI)
