Two dead in road mishap

On January 19, one vehicle (ML-05G-9008) driven by Nesting Marngar (38) met with an accident at Nongbri village (WKH). As a result, two occupants Harnik Jana (45) and Bantei Lyngkhoi (32) died on the spot.

Accident

On January 19 at about 4.20 pm, one motorcycle (ML-07A-1823) ridden by Tukia Rabha dashed against a Maruti Zen car (ML-08B-6588) driven by Subodh Sah at Dagal Songgitcham (NGH). As a result, the motorcycle rider sustained injuries and was shifted to CHC Resubelpara.
On January 20 around 7:20 pm, one Maruti Alto car bearing temporary registration number 0008 knocked down two pedestrians Edmund Sungoh and Raplang Nongbri (14) at Nongmynsong, Shillong. Victims sustained injuries and were shifted to NEIGRIHMS.

Body recovered

On January 19 morning body of Depester Sunn (45) was recovered from a paddy field at Maroid village (WKH).

Minor girl missing

Anjalee Rajbongshi (15) has been reported missing from her residence at Laitumkhrah Main Road, Shillong since January 19, 2015.

Man missing

Kloilangsing Pdahkasiej (20) has been reported missing from his residence at Nongrah Nongrum Block-D, Shillong since January 19, 2015.

Threat

Cutis Rani lodged a complaint at Laban PS that on January 19 around 5 pm, one Obar Marbaniang threatened him with dire consequences at Wahlyngngia village (EKH).
S Kharbani lodged a complaint at Nongstoin PS that on January 19 around 4:30 pm, two persons Monstar K Bani and Emanuel K Dewsaw assaulted and threatened him with dire consequences at Punglieh (WKH).

NGT ban violation

On January 17 around 7 pm, Police detected two trucks (AS-18C-1278 & AS-18A-5154) driven by Md. Sohidul Islam and Md. Shirajul Khan respectively, at Rongrenggre (EGH), while transporting coal in violation of the NGT order.
