JOWAI: Copiusness Daw of Lumtrep, Nongjngi was elected the new Dolloi of Nongjngi Elaka in West Jaintia Hills on Friday.
Daw secured 1715 votes to emerge winner in the polls which had four candidates in fray. His nearest contender was ex- MDC Kitton Samati who secured 1278 votes. Another candidate, Prospol Samati got 1222 votes while Paitbha Tahiah could only manage 27 votes.
