Arunachal assembly pay tributes to departed leaders

Itanagar:The Aruna-chal Pradesh assembly on Wednesday paid tributes to former members who passed away recently.
Speaker Nabum Rebia and Chief Minister Nabam Tuki led the House in remembering former Chief Minister Jarbom Gamlin, former minister and Speaker Setong Sena, former minister Sobeng Tayang and former Union minister Murli Deora.
While Gamlin died in a Gurgaon-based private hospital on November 30 last, Tayeng passed away on January 24, Sena on Sunday last and Deora died on November 24 last year.
Making obituary refe-rence in the House Rebia termed all the leaders as visionaries and termed their deaths as ‘irreparable losses’ to the state as well as the country.
Terming Tayeng as a man with a mission who shaped the destiny of present Arunachal, the chief minister informed that the departed leader was instrumental in expansion of education besides conceiv-ing the idea of VLW and launching minor irrigation channels in the state.(UNI)
