SHILLONG: Megha SC defeated Madanryting SC by 24 runs in a league match of the First Division Shillong Cricket League organised by the Shillong Cricket Association at the SCA Cricket Ground, Polo on Thursday.
Opting to bat first, Megha SC were bundled out for 139 runs in 29.2 overs with Ravi and Ricky Nongkynrih scoring 27 runs each. Anup Ale with figures of 5/27 of seven overs was the pick of the bowlers for Madanryting. He was ably supported by Vishal Chettri who scalped three wickets for 31 runs.
Madanryting’s chase was restricted to 115 runs in 25.4 overs. Ganesh Biswa’s four wickets spelt the death knell for Madanryting.
