Girl Child Day observed
The Meghalaya State Social Welfare Board, Shillong, celebrated the National Girl Child Day by holding a seminar at Khliehriat, East Jaintia Hills, on January 30. Parliamentary Secretary Justine Dkhar was the chief guest on the occasion. Dr. Amena Passah, Professor, Dept. of History, NEHU, was the resource person.
Honour conferred
Dr RK Singh, Head, Division of Agriculture Engineering, ICAR Research Complex for NEH region, Umiam, has been conferred the honour of eminent engineer for his outstanding contribution to the profession of Agriculture Engineering by the Institution of Engineers (India) in its 28th convocation of Agriculture Engineers held on January 30-31.
