One motor cycle motorcycle ridden by Md. Fazal Khan and a truck (AS-01-DD-6427) collided at Jyntru GS Road in Ri Bhoi. In the incident, pillion rider of the motorcycle Morian Khatoon died on the spot while the rider sustained injuries. The incident occurred on February 8.
On February 10 at around 5.45 am, one bus dashed against a Maruti local taxi (ML-05K-5989) at Umphyrnai (EKH). As a result, two occupants of the local taxi sustained injuries and were shifted to Woodland Hospital, Shillong.
On February 9 at around 2.45 pm, one new Hyundai Eon car (A/F) driven by Ranjit Surana dashed against one stationary truck (MZ-04GE-3047) at 12th Mile, Byrnihat and in the accident, driver and two occupants of the car sustained injuries and were removed to Downtown Hospital, Guwahati.
On February 9 at around 3 pm, one bus (AS-01-DD-8396) driven by Nagendra Singh fatally knocked down one minor girl Arwani Nongrum (3 yrs) at Pyrtakuna village (EJH).
On February 9 at around 4.30 pm, one truck (number not known) capsized at Umtyngar, Mylliem (EKH).
On February 8 around 12 am, one truck (number not known) dashed against one Maruti car (AS-01F-0107) at 7th Mile, Upper Shillong. Three occupants of the Maruti car sustained injuries and were shifted to Civil Hospital Shillong.
On February 8 at around 4 pm, one scooter (ML-05M-1632) ridden by Mohan Sunar dashed against one truck (number not known) at 3rd Mile, Upper Shillong. As a result, the rider and pillion rider sustained injuries and were shifted to Nazareth Hospital, Shillong.
On February 7 at around 9.40 pm, one Maruti Alto car (ML-05K-9807) driven by Kerwood Thabah dashed against one electric pole near Super Care Hospital, Laitumkhrah, Shillong. As a result, the driver sustained injuries and was shifted to Super Care Hospital, Shillong.
An autorickshaw travelling towards Shillong from Laitlyngkot overturned on a turning at Umtyngar under Mylliem Block, East Khasi Hills. Two occupants of the vehicle sustained injuries when it overturned on February 9 at 3:59 P.M.
In all the above cases the 108 Emergency Service Ambulance base in repective areas shifting the injured to respective health centres.
