Australia rise 37 places in FIFA rankings

Beijing:  Asian Cup football tournament winners Australia have advanced 37 places to the 63rd position in the FIFA world rankings, according to the latest release by the sport’s world governing body Thursday.
2014 World Cup champions Germany continued to top the rankings followed by Argentinaand Colombia. 2010 World Cup winners Spain occupied the 10th place while Iran jumped 10 places to the 41st place. 2 India stayed put at the 171st position. (IANS)
