Christina Aguilera debuts baby’s picture
Grammy-winning singer Christina Aguilera has debuted her newly-born daughter Summer Rain on the cover of a magazine. She has shared the first few pictures of the six-month-old blue-eyed Rain with People magazine, with one of them featuring on its cover. The 34-year-old singer is shown kissing Rain in the photo. Aguilera and fiance Matt Rutler welcomed the baby on August 16 last year. She said her daughter’s birth left her speechless. “I was speechless. She was literally like an angel… We had an immediate calm bond, and I felt unexplainably connected to her and her spirit,” Aguilera said in the interview. “Her smile lights up a room and I know it melts mama and daddy’s hearts. She laughs a ton and is easy to make smile. (PTI)
Buddhist chanting changed my life: Courtney Love
Singer Courtney Love has revealed practising Buddhist chants helped her to lead a better life.
The Hole frontwoman, 50, discussed on ‘The Late Show’ about how she finally got clean and resolved one of the most infamous rock ‘n’ roll feuds in history. “All of it, just all of it. There are no more drugs… What really saved me was, obviously going to meetings and stuff like that, but I’m a Buddhist. I chant and I’m really serious about it. I chant twice a day. “I’m Nichiren Buddhist so it’s Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo. So I sit there in the morning, ‘Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo, Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo, Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo,’ and it changed my life. Absolutely. It turned everything around,” she said. The mother of one also found peace in her personal life once she and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl finally ended their decades-long feud. (PTI)
Unreleased Spice Girls songs leaked
Four unreleased Spice Girls tracks from the group’s final album Forever have been leaked online. The songs — ‘A Day in Your Life’, ‘Pain Proof’, ‘If It’s Lovin’ On Your Mind’ and ‘Right Back at Ya’ — were uploaded on SoundCloud out of nowhere, reported Variety online. Forever was the group’s last album, aside from a Greatest Hits compilation album released in 2007. The Spice Girls, made up of Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton, Mel C and Victoria Beckham, reunited in 2012 to perform at the closing ceremonies for the London Summer Olympics. (PTI)
