ATM with Rs 9.85 lakh stolen

JOWAI: Unknown miscreants, suspected to be professional ATM thieves, stole the ATM of the State Bank of India (SBI) installed at Mooralong, Jowai opposite to Rymbai Petrol Pump on Tuesday night.
The ATM containing cash amounting to Rs. 9, 85, 300/- was stolen from the booth as per the complaint lodged by Nanglamlin Rynjah- a local representative of the Ms. FIS Payment Solution and Services India Private Ltd. – the company who installed the ATM on behalf of the SBI.
It may be mentioned that this is the second such case where the ATM was uprooted from the booth by unknown miscreants.
About a month ago, the SBI  ATM at Ladrymbai was also taken away from the booth by unknown miscreants. Later, police could locate the ATM at Mookhep village. Rs. 9 lakhs was stolen from the ATM.
