GNLA overground worker held at Shallang

NONGSTOIN: Police arrested a GNLA over ground worker who was attempting to extort money from coal traders at Shallang on Tuesday.
Police informed that the GNLA man Anjan Nongmin (20) was a Bangladeshi resident who had illegally settled at Thatija village in South West Khasi Hills.
West Khasi Hills SP S. Nongtnger informed that Anjan had been arrested in 2013 for committing dacoity at Umdang and after his release had been sent back to Bangladesh.
