One dead in accident
On Feb 17 around 1.30 pm, an accident took place between one dumper (AS-09E-3138) driven by Md. Moinuddin and one Sumo (AS-01EC-5866) driven by Nirmal Mondol at Shangbangla (RB). As a result the driver of the Sumo died on the spot and eleven occupants sustained injuries and were shifted to various hospitals for treatment.
Accident
On Feb 18 around 2.35 pm, one motorcycle (ML-05H-4106) ridden by Sevak Singh collided with a car (ML-05L-0424) at NEIGRIHMS, Mawdiangdiang campus. As a result the rider sustained injuries and admitted at the hospital for treatment. Matter is under enquiry.
Woman found dead
On Feb 17 around 9.15 pm, one Sumitra Tamang (48) was reportedly brought dead at Civil Hospital Shillong. Necessary formalities were observed and matter is under enquiry.
Theft
On Feb 16 noon, unidentified persons stole Earth Stripes Power cables from Bharti Hexacom Limited at Modrina Mansion, Laitumkhrah, Shillong.
On Feb 15 night, unknown miscreants stole one motorcycle (A/F) belonging to Merinstar R Marak from Goramara, Garobadha (WGH). Matter is under enquiry.
Threat
T. Basaiawmoit lodged a complaint at Mairang PS that on Feb 15 around 8 pm, one Lanskipar Kharkylliang, under the influence of alcohol, created nuisance at Pynden Nongbri village (WKH) and threatened the headman and VDP members with a machete. Police arrested the accused.
Juvenile held for theft
Fightstar Kurbah lodged a complaint at Mairang PS that on Feb 14 around 7 pm, one juvenile attempted to steal a car tape from one Mahindra Sumo-Max at Pynden Nongbri (WKH). Police arrested the juvenile.
