State govt preparing to tackle swine flu

SHILLLONG:  The State government is seriously working towards controlling the spread of swine flu infection in the State and surveillance is on to find out if anybody is infected with the H1N1 virus.
Dr. R.O. Budnah, Joint Secretary, Health department, on Thursday said that the department has enough medicines to take care of swine flu-infected patients.
Reacting to a query, the officer said that the department does not have any lab in the State and all the test samples have to be sent to New Delhi or Kolkata.
