SHILLONG:  With another feather on their cap, Shillong band 4th Element is touring South East Asia to participate in the Philippine International Jazz Festival scheduled to be held in Manila from February 24 to March 4.
4th Element will be brushing shoulders with many seasoned jazz musicians from around the world during their three gigs in Manila city, after which, comes the rendezvous in Sing Jazz Club, Singapore – a renowned jazz hub that hosted a number of international jazz acts.
A statement in this regard said that 4th Element’s spot in the Philippine International Jazz event is a symbol of pride for Shillong’s music community. Band members including Ribor Mb, Sam Shullai, Jeff Laloo, Sarah Lee, Amit Mulick are all geared up to take yet another international stage.
In 2013, 4th Element hit a note by being part of ‘Jazzmandu’, an international jazz festival that helped spread the message of peace and compassion through music. As the Shilllong elite jazz fanfare grows, the Filipino experience will be a memorable one, not just for 4th Element but for most jazz aficionados here.
