Nagaland ICAR organizes training on climate change

Kohima: The Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) Research Complex for North East Hill (NEH) Region, Nagaland Centre organized a three-days training programme on ‘Resource conservation technologies in the context of climate change’ organized under National Initiative for Climate Resilient Agriculture (NICRA) project recently at Jharnapani, under Dimapur district.
According to a release on Sunday the inaugural function was graced by Dr. D. J. Rajkhowa, Principal Investigator, NICRA as the chief guest Tuesday last and the trainees acquired knowledge on the basic concepts of climate change and resource conservation technologies a-biotic stresses, meteorological variations in the hill climate, resource conservation options and soil health management in the context of climate change, soil and water conservation through mulching amoung others.
All together 26 participants who are the field level functionaries and officials  registered in this training. (UNI)
