40-year-old alleges rape

JOWAI: West Jaintia Hills Police arrested one Sowatki Suchiang for allegedly raping a 40-year-old woman at Priang village near Iooksi on Wednesday last.  According to the woman, Suchiang came in an inebriated condition and raped her. A case was registered in this regard in Jowai on Sunday night. Interestingly, the mother of the accused alleged that the woman along with her brother and sisters kidnapped Suchiang on Wednesday night.
