SHILLONG: The State Crime Investigation Department (CID) probing the CMJ University scam has so far been unable in its attempt to arrest Govind Jha and Gopal Jha, the two sons of tainted CMJ University chancellor CM Jha.
Sources from the CID on Monday admitted that both Govind and Gopal were still absconding and all attempts by the State CID to arrest them has failed to yield any result. A CID team had gone to Kolkata but returned empty handed as the duo could not be traced.
The State CID had issued a look out notice against the duo and a non bailable warrant had been issued against the two accused by the Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate on August 4 last year for their alleged involvement in the scam.
