Jamaica girl chopped to death by attacker at her home

Kingston (Jamaica: A 14-year-old Jamaican girl has been chopped to death in the yard of her family’s home as she got ready for school. Authorities say Kayalicia Simpson was killed yesterday in the eastern parish of St Thomas. The teenager had apparently left the house shortly before dawn to use an outdoor bathroom when she was attacked. Some local media say she was beheaded with a cutlass, but police did not comment. Youth Minister Lisa Hanna said there could be “no justification for such unspeakable savagery” against a child. She says grief counseling will be provided to students at the slain girl’s school. Hanna is calling on residents to share any information they may have with investigators. There have been no arrests by investigators in Jamaica, where homicides often go unsolved. (AP) ABD 03040508
Queen Elizabeth II strips Rolf Harris of top honour London, March 3, 2015 (AFP) Queen Elizabeth II has stripped disgraced family entertainer Rolf Harris of a top honour which she awarded him before his child sex crimes were discovered, officials said today. Harris, 84, was jailed last year over 12 counts of indecent assault against four girls in Britain, including the childhood best friend of his daughter Bindi, between 1969 and 1986. Now the queen has ordered the removal of his CBE, which stands for Commander of the British Empire and is one step below a knighthood. The news was confirmed by an announcement in the London Gazette, an official British government journal. “The Queen has directed that the appointment of Rolf Harris to be a Commander of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, dated 17 June 2006, shall be cancelled and annulled and that his name shall be erased from the Register of the said Order,” it said. Harris, known for presenting children’s TV shows and performing songs such as “Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport”, had his Australian honours removed last month. He is currently serving a jail sentence of five years and nine months. (AFP)

Facebook blocks boy who questioned Obama’s love for US

New York: Facebook has blocked the account of a 12-year-old boy from Georgia who posted a YouTube video that questions US President Barack Obama’s love for the country.
CJ Pearson, the self-proclaimed conservative, defended former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani for his recent comments that Obama does not love US in the three-minute video that has gone viral.
“Today I just want to applaud Mayor Rudy Giuliani for his comments about President Barack Obama,” Pearson was seen saying in the video.
After posting the video on the social networking site, Pearson’s account was locked due to “suspicious activity”.
While the firm announced the move is because of his age as Facebook requires users to be at least 13- years-old, Pearson believes the social media site has singled him out, NY Daily News reported.
“Due to the fact that approximately 7.5 million kids (under the age of 13) log in to Facebook, I would most definitely have to say the removal of my account was due to partisan politics, rather than actually upholding their actual Terms of Service agreement,” he told the Daily News.
The seventh-grader posted the three-minute video Feb 21 that has been viewed by more than 1.6 million people and led to his appearance on Fox News.
In the video, the boy accuses President of not loving his country but instead misaddressing the terrorist group Islamic State’s (IS) motives and stealing from the American people, the report added.
According to Giuliani, he is getting death threats at his office in the wake of his controversial comments. Giuliani made remarks about Obama during a private dinner in midtown Manhattan featuring Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker last month. (Agencies)
