SHILLONG: The much awaited Meghalaya Compulsory Registration of Marriage (Amendment) Bill, 2015 was introduced in the Assembly on Wednesday.
The Minister in charge Registration and Stamps AL Hek introduced the Bill.
The Bill will be debated in the House before it is passed on the concluding day of the session.
The Mait Shaprang Movement (MSM) recently decided to put on hold the indefinite  hunger strike scheduled from March 9 after the State Government approved the amendments to the Meghalaya Compulsory Registration of Marriage Act, 2012.
