Police requests public cooperation in tackling drinking at public places

SHILLONG: As many as eleven people including three minors and two girls were picked up by the police for consuming of alcohol in public places in a police raid in various parts of the city on Saturday.
The police pick up three minors who were found consuming alcohol inside Ward’s Lade. The three were later hand over to their parents after medical examination.
In another raid inside Golflinks, six people including two women were also found consuming alcohol inside the course.
Police informed that a non-FIR case has been taken against all six people for drinking in a public place.
The Police also requests the cooperation of the public to call the police control room  (2222277) if they see any such nuisance committed in public places.
