Bengaluru:  Rejuvenated after naturopathy treatment, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Monday said he was feeling fresh and fit and was excited to return to the national capital to resume work.
The 46-year-old Aam Aadmi Party leader, who was admitted to the Jindal Nature Cure Institute on city outskirts along with his parents on March 5, completed the course of treatment today, saying his cough is gone and sugar was under control.
“Cough gone, sugar under control. Feeling fresh n fit. Am excited to return to resume work,” Kejriwal tweeted, as he is set to return this evening to the national capital where AAP leaders were engaged in an ugly public spat, exposing the party as a badly divided house within weeks after the landslide win in the Assembly polls.
Kejriwal also congratulated the Jindal Institute doctors and its founder Dr Sitaram Jindal. “Grateful 2 Jindal Institute, its docs, staff. Congratulations 2 Sitaram ji for setting up such a wonderful institute n running it so well,” he further tweeted.
Before his discharge, he said the stay at Jindal gave him enough time for him to think about bringing in changes, especially in education and public distribution system. “I have been talking to Manish (Sisodia) and we have drawn up some proposals and in coming days we will make an announcement on it,” he said.
Kejriwal also said he also plans to start mid-day meals scheme on the lines of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON)’s Akshyapatra.
“I have visited ISKCON. I visited their kitchen, which is very clean … we will see to it that this kind of mid-day meal scheme is also started in Delhi,” he added.
Kejriwal’s father suffered from constipation and his mother from diabetes and arthritis and both underwent treatment along with him.
He was here even as the party was rocked by an internal turmoil which took a murky turn after its founders Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav were ousted from the Political Affairs Committee, with sting operations adding dramatic elements to the tale. (PTI)
