SHILLONG: The Principal Bench of National Green Tribunal (NGT) on Monday deferred the case relating  to further transportation of extracted coal and payment of royalty to  March 20 at New Delhi.
Informing this over phone from Delhi, Ranjan Mukherjee, Counsel of the Meghalaya Government, told The Shillong Times that the tribunal  had received report of the  Commissioner  who had  visited different districts of the state to oversee the  how the  directives of the  NGT was being implemented.
The NGT had stopped the transportation of already extracted coal on February 12.
