Two women burnt alive in Tripura

Agartala:Two women of a family were burnt alive in a house at Fakhir Mura area under Bishalgarh police station of West Tripura in a pre-dawn fire accident on Wednesday.
Police suspected that it is a handiwork of the house owner Bishnu Das who is absconding after the incident.
The victims are the wife and mother-in-law of the accused.
The deceased are identified as Manibala Nandi (60) and her daughter Shipra Nandi (30) while his seven-yr-old son escaped from death with minor burn injuries, as he could manage to come out from the house.
Superintendent of Police Sepahijala district Pradip Dey said, ‘The assailants were suspected to have confined the victims in the house by locking the doors from outside, doused the premises with patrol before setting it on fire.’
The bodies were sent to Bishalgarh hospital for postmortem and senior police official along with forensic experts visited the scene of crime. (UNI)
