UTP held for bribe attempt

SHILLONG: An under-trial prisoner (UTP) Rajesh Kumar Thakur has been ‘arrested’ for allegedly trying to bribe Ushadina D Sangma, Bench Assistant of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Williamnagar, according to a complaint lodged on March 17.
Police were looking into the matter, sources informed on Thursday.
