JOWAI: West Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner Peter S. Dkhar on Friday inaugurated various development project initiated by the District Rural Development Agency (DRDA) for Shnongpdeng village in the district, in the presence of DRDA Project Director S.S. Syiemlieh, SP Herbert G. Lyngdoh and Addl. SP (Hq) Anand Mishra.
The DRDA had provided financial assistance of Rs.5 lakh for improvement of the footpath. An amount of Rs.80, 000 required for construction of three lavatories in different locations of the village was funded by the Dorbar Shnong through public contributions and also from the 13th Finance Commission scheme of the JHADC.
