Drive against public drinking

SHILLONG: Continuing its drive against drinking in public places, police on Sunday detained eight persons including four minor boys inside Wards Lake.
After medical examination, the minors were handed over to their parents while non FIR case is being taken up against the four adults.
“We will come down heavily on those drinking in public places. At the same time we request parents/guardians to rein in their children,” East Khasi Hills SP M Kharkrang said.
