‘Turning designer a dream come true’

Actress-singer Shradha Kapoor has stepped into the world of fashion with her new line and she says turning a designer has always been her dream.
The 26-year-old actress launched her maiden line titled ‘Imara’ on day one of the ongoing Amazon India Fashion Week.
It has been created in association with Universal Sportsbiz Pvt Ltd (USPL).
“It was always a dream to create my own fashion label and partnering with Anjana of USPL made my dream come true. Imara is all about the fairytales and this is my fairytale coming true,” Shradha told. The Ek Villain actress said that her collection has been inspired my the modern Indian woman and is a contemporary rendition of the conventional.
“My collection is a modern Indian adaptation of classics, from once upon a time that experiments with ethnic designs and offers a refreshing take on fashion, for the young and the stylish. A line of clothing for the new Indian woman. Smart and independent, open and free,” she said.
Imara is available exclusively on Amazon.
When asked about her personal style statement, Shradha who is known for her fresh, girl-next-door looks, said that it reflects her personality.
“My style statement is extremely reflective of my personality, young and vivacious. I also believe that looking good is about feeling great and everything I wear is accesorised by confidence,” she said. (PTI)
