New Delhi: Former Aam Aadmi Party MLA Rajesh Garg on Tuesday alleged that during government formation, he along with other MLAs had received calls offering money to support the BJP with Kejriwal’s consent.
He also alleged that all the calls were made through unknown numbers.
“People called for the AAP’s NC meeting were their (Arvind and team) ‘yes men’, many important people were not called,” Garg said.”During initial phase of government formation, I myself received a call which said they were calling from Jaitley ji’s office. I was offered 10 crores for supporting the BJP. We had a party meeting at the Constitution Club. I had got it from a private number,” he added.
He further said that Kejriwal took the whole matter very lightly and laughed it off.
“When we were forming the government by opinion poll, I had written a letter saying that Arun Jaitley had offered us this amount to support them. The media had then asked me for evidence,” he added.
Garg further said he had also lodged a complaint with the police in this regard.
“Some more MLAs got same kind of calls. I took a screenshot of number and lodged the police complaint. After that police arrested a man during investigation.
Following that, I got a call from Arvind’s PA and Sanjay Singh asking me to withdraw the complaint. (ANI)
