Nongmynsong, Peak Hawks register wins in 2nd Div knockout tounament

Shillong: Nongmynsong CC defeated Rilbong SCC by 6 wickets in the Second Division Knock Out Cricket Tournament 2015 organised by the Shillong Cricket Association at the SCA Cricket Ground, Polo, on Tuesday.
Nongmynsong CC elected to bowl and they restricted Rilbong SCC to 94 runs in 20 overs. Kamanashish topscored with 35 runs off 41 balls and Krishna scored 16 runs off 32 balls. Shiningstar Lyngdoh and Sandeep Roy took 2 wickets each for Nongmynsong CC.
In reply, Nongmynsong CC reached the target in 19.2 overs. Sandeep Roy topscored with 43 runs off 50 balls and Gopal Das scored 10 runs off 8 balls. Prasanjit took 2 wickets for 17 runs and Ashish Gurung took 1 wicket for 24 runs for Rilbong CC.
In the second match of the day, Peaks Hawks defeated Youth Club by 21 runs. Youth Club decided to field first and they restricted Peak Hawks to107 runs in 19.5 overs. Kushal made 23 runsoff 45 balls, while Raju Raj scored 16 runs off 27 balls. Rohit Paul took 5 wickets for 20 runs and Ram Gurung took 1 wicket for 15 runs, for Youth Club.
In reply, Youth Club were dismissed for 86 runs in 19.1 overs. Ram Gurung scored 34 runsoff 43 balls. Subhankar took 4 wickets for 7 runs and Deepankar Lahar took 3 wickets for 9 runs, for Peaks Hawks.
