Major reshuffle in Meghalaya Police dept

SHILLONG: In a significant reshuffle in the Meghalaya Police department, the state government transferred several officials while sparing those posted in East Khasi Hills District.
As per the notification issued on April 2, A.R. Mawthoh, Commandant 1st MLP Battalion, has been transferred and posted as Commandant of the SF-10 (Special Force 10) while J. Rymbai, Commandant 6th MLP Battalion, has been transferred and posted as Assistant Inspector General of Police (E).
Similarly, M.K. Dkhar, Superintendent of Police, East Jaintia Hills, has been transferred and posted as Commandant, 1st MLP Battalion. R. Muthu, Superintendent of Police, South West Garo Hills, has been transferred to West Jaintia Hills in the same post.
Ri Bhoi district police chief C.V.S. Reddy has been posted as Commandant, MLP 4th Battalion.
According to the notification, Debangshu D. Sangma, SP, South West Khasi Hills, will now be the SP (Infiltration), while Aditya Goenka, Commandant, MLP 2nd Battalion, has been transferred and posted as SP, South West Garo Hills.
Additional Superintendent of Police, North Garo Hills, Ramesh Singh, has been elevated to the post of Superintendent of Police of the district.
Raghvendra Kumar, who is the Deputy Commandant, 4th MLP Battalion, has been transferred and posted as Superintendent of Police, South West Khasi Hills.
Additional Superintendent of Police, West Jaintia Hills, Anand Mishra, will now be the Deputy Commandant, 5th MLP Battalion, while North Garo Hills Superintendent of Police J.F.K. Marak has been transferred and posted as Commandant, MLP 2nd Battalion.
West Jaintia Hills SP Herbert Lyngdoh has now been posted as Commandant, 6th MLP Battalion, while Spill Thamar, Assistant Inspector General of Police (E), has been transferred and posted as SP of East Jaintia Hills.
Goldenbert D Kharwanlang, Commandant, 4th MLP Battalion, has been transferred and posted as SP, Ri Bhoi, while Aprilish Ch Sangma, Deputy Commandant, 5th MLP Battalion has been transferred and posted as 2nd in command, SF-10.
Lethindra Sangma, Additional SP, South West Garo Hills, has also been transferred and posted as 2nd in command, 2nd MLP Battalion, while Stephan A. Rynjah, 2nd in command, 1st MLP Battalion has been transferred and posted as Additional SP, SF 10.
Sacheng R Marak, 2nd in command, 2nd MLP Battalion, has been posted as Additional SP, South West Garo Hills, while Ringrang T Momin, Deputy Commandant, 5th MLP Battalion, has been transferred as Additional SP, North Garo Hills.
Chempang Syrti, Deputy Commandant, 3rd MLP Battalion, has also been transferred and posted as Additional Superintendent of Police, West Jaintia Hills.
