Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party Supremo Mayawati on Sunday came down heavily on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav stating that as he has no work, he is riding bi-cycle and launching the projects of her government.
UP CM has no work and hence he is riding the bi-cycle and launching the projects commenced by my government,†she alleged while reacting to the statement of Mr Yadav who had said that during the previous BSP government, he was ”not allowed” to ride a bi-cycle .
Bi-cycle is the election symbol of Samajwadi Party.
UP government is also promoting cycling in a big way.
She said the government has failed on all fronts during the last three years regime and now the government is spending several crores of rupees for its ‘ fake’ publicity of achievement before the masses.
If the SP government is such confident about its achievement then why it is not going for early assembly elections so that it can retain the power,†she told reporters over the completion of Samajwadi Party government’s three years regime.
All the projects launching by the SP government had been started by my government during 2007-12 including the much hyped Lucknow Metro,†she claimed.
The former UP Chief Minister also said that now the state is being named as ‘ Crime State’ as the rate of crime has broken all time records and the goons and the criminals are running a parallel government.
When the CM himself is stating that should he done the police uniform to control crime gives ample proof about the status of crime and the administration,†Ms Mayawati said.
The BSP president also took strong exception on the atrocities against the dalit state employees for demoting them by the present government.â€
We condemn the act of the SP government and warn them to stop such harassment,†she said and alleged that the state government has started demoting the dalit employees promoted during the previous BSP regime as per the direction of the Supreme Court.
Ms Mayawati also criticised the Akhilesh Yadav government for ignoring the plights of the farmers for the unseasonal rains and delay in providing their cane dues.
The state government is just sitting and doing nothing for the farmers, whereas more than 50 farmers have died or committed suicide due to their crop loss,†she alleged. (UNI)
